I had been training with David privately for 6 months. It was the first time I ever engaged in strength training or worked with weights. Really the first time I trained with such intensity and focus in my life. My body was changing and I was reaching a level of fitness I never could have imagined, especially at my age. It kills me to admit it, but I'm over 50. The same age blindness David showed in training me applies to his class. The Spartan 300 work out was a fun tie in to the film and capitalized on the fantasy of the Spartan athleticism of the men and their women that was contagious. I was intimidated at first, but I realized that I was able to engage in an advanced level of training and have success---and a lot of fun. There's nothing like wielding a weighted balance bar like a spear as you lunge your way across the length of the studio, with the Spartan 300 soundtrack pushing you forward. It's a rigorous workout, so be ready to pound your spear. You'll feel really good about yourself. I highly recommend it! -Lisa Hamm
I am a 42 year old man with a heart condition. I had a quadruple bypass several years ago. After the birth of my daughter in 2006 I felt it was time to get serious about loosing weight and getting fit. In the past I started and stopped exercising a number of times. Training with Dave has proved to be the difference. His functional training techniques are simple to understand as well as practical in the real world. Dave's medical knowledge as a former EMT also provides a level of comfort that my heart condition won't get in my way of getting the most out of every session. Currently I am reaching goals I never thought were possible just a few years ago. I plan to continue setting new goals a reaching new heights in my physical fitness for myself and for my daughter. Thanks Dave! -John C. Kearney
I've worked with trainers on and off since I was in college - none of them lasted for more than a few months and I experienced few results. This was not necessarily the fault of the trainers but more my lack of commitment to working out and changing my body. I began working out with David about a year ago. Throughout the past year, I've gone from only working out only when I was with David 3 days a week to working out about 6 days a week - both with David and on my own. The results that I've gotten through his programs have been so successful that it has motivated me to really incorporate physical fitness into my life daily. I travel frequently for work so lately our time together working out is erratic. However, as a result of David's teachings and motivational approach, I am committed to working out daily both at home and when I travel. Most importantly, I continue to see results in my body and generally how I feel. Even though I've accomplished the goals I set with David a year ago, continuing to work with him will without question continue to be a part of my routine. -Andrew Lipman
With 25 years of competitive swimming experience and 2 years of intense triathlon training under my belt, I thought there were no physical challenges left that could test me to my limits. That all changed the day David Kawior put me through my first 300 workout. Taken individually, each of the elements of the 300 is a manageable strength set. When done back to back, the whole workout definitely becomes more than the sum of its parts. By the end, I had sacrificed every last drop of my energy out on the gym floor and barely had the strength to take a shower. -Matthew Davie
I was having a hard time getting myself to the gym, but I signed up for training sessions with david and now I actually enjoy working out. We've been training for the past year and I really notice a difference in my body. David finds the right balance of of being tough and being supportive that's helping me reach my fullest potential. -Trevor Hebertson
